Would you enjoy living and working aboard the International Space Station?

I thing that maybe work at International Space Station could be interesting, because if I stay here I can know about a lot of thing of the space and look so much interesting and classified information, and see how look the earth since the space, but I don´t really enjoy this kind of work and I don´t endure to be so many time in a separate place, I thing that maybe I´m a kind of claustrophobic so I will be so much desperate if I stay for at time there, and I prefer to have contact whit the people so this work it is not to me. Maybe I could see all the this that happen in the International Space Station since a screen, in my house but never stay here.

Talk about how you choose the school you attend or the class you are taking. how did you make the choice, and do you regret any of your decisions? 

Well, since I was kid, I like TEC, my mom was in this school and she told me that it was a great university. TEC is around my house so I think that it was a good decision to make my higher education here and I like TEC because it give you so much extra-curricular activities like championships sport of basket, soccer, tochito and someone else. When I was thinking about the school that I search a school that promote values and I think that this school promote them so well.

I think that the level of the classes of TEC are in a good level, like anothers school in a first word countries, thats the principal factor that I choose the school.

A) Tell your patners about the form of transportation you or your family members use for the activities in the box.

I go to school walk because the school is near of my house, but when I go to visit friends or to shoping I need to go in a car, sometimes my father can carry me to the places that I need to go, but other times I have to ask a friend if I can go whit him. My mother dont have so much activities outside of the house but when she need use her car, and my father too, he have one car to go to work.

B) With your parnet, make a chart and list some of the positive and negative aspects of the form of transportation you mentioned in exercise A.

WALK: positive aspects: It serves like excersices, you can go looking all the thing that are in the city and go walk serves to think in your own thinks.
negatives: sometimes is so tired, and take a lot of time to go to another place and you dont enjoy when the weather is rainy or so hot.

GO ON CAR:positive aspects: Is most easy to go to another place so much faster and it does matter if the day is rainy or hot
negative: We can accustom to dont walk or dont make excercise, and the car contaminate so much.

A) How would you improve the transportation system in your city? write a letter to the editor of a newspaper explaining your ideas. Begin your letter "Dear editor". End it with "Sincerely" and sing your name.

Dear Editor: My name is Tomas A. Mendoza A. and I write this card to explain my ideas about a best transportation system.
Well I think that one of the most biggers problems about this city (problem of transportation) is because there are a lot of cars and the city is so big so the people have to travel biggers distance to go to there jobs so it means that the time in the cars are much and much time in car means much car at streets and much traffic I think that the best solution of transportation could be a more public transportation and less expensive, it means that one public transport could transport a significative number of people that could travel by car, it promote less cars and by consecuence less traffic and best circulation at the streets. Other think that could help the problems of circulation could be build more in vertical form and dont extend more the city, so the people can travel less to go to her jobs or visit his families.

1.What kind of art will you have: a mural, sculpture, stained glass window, or something else?

2.Where will the art be located, and why is it a good location for the art?

The piece of art that I put near to the school can be a sculpture, because can be out and it does matter and if will be another kind of art should be impaired. Maybe in the sculpture I put something that show the values of the Tec or something about Garza Sada that are thing that identify all the Monterrey people and specify all the students from Tec.

I thing that maybe one good place to put the new piece of art could be at the roundabout that is out of the door of Tec that is in front of "rectoria", and I think that this place could be a good location because a lot of cars and persons transit, in this place, every days, so much people can see and another good thing is because is near at Tec so we can put something whit can be identify to the students.

The author of this piece of art (architecture type of art) is Frank Lloyd Wright, he born in Pheonix at 1867 year, I was one of the most bigger exponents of the architecture of USA at the XX century. I was one of the first architect that boost the organic architecture and he boost the "Usoniano" concept, that is one typology of architecture that we can see in the USA houses, this typology is known to have so many space for yard in fact in so many houses of this type there don't have perimeter fence, there are in directly connection whit the environment that is in a big wild space or minimum whit a big place whit grass. This typology of houses is famous because use big glass walls an specifics materials like brick and concrete.

This house was make it in Fayette, Pennsylvania (EUA). at 1936-1939 years and is so famous to all the architects students, one of the most bigger likes are that the house are building over a nature waterfall leading to a beautiful lake, other think that is awesome about the house is that some of here walls are building with local stone that was removed to the floor when the when the foundations were being made so the house harmonizes with the environment.

The place that I choose is a suburb that is located in the rich part of the city at "valle" suburb. this is a good location because in this part of the city there are so many young people, and this young have money to pay a survival school, and maybe we can think that the rich people aren't intrested in outdoor activities. in the suburbs of "valle" are so many parks so the young people can learn in this parks to prepare to a outdoor camp.

In the school of survival the people can learn so many thing like how to make a bonfire and how to use a different types of knives, other think that cant learn is how to make different types of knots and techniques of survival.

H.W. 2.2 Think of an emergency situation that could happen at the TEC. What would you do if your get caught in it. Talk abou it in a paragraph.

Maybe one emergency situation that could happen at tec, could be a flood, and in that situation I try to go to the most high floors of the building, because are the last floors to flood. other think that I try to do at this situation is check if the internet work to request to some profecional help, and I can order from my wathsapp.

 Maybe one of the emergencies that could happen in my city, could be a crush car, it's very common because of traffic, and I think that the most important in this situations is help to the people that is hurt, and call to the "cruz roja" and if you know about first aid maybe you could help to the paramedics, but if you don't know about it, is better if don't hinder

One of the things that the Mexican people value is heres gobs, since I remember the Mexican value it, maybe the religion is one of the things that mexican people value too but in resent years it decrease, one of the things that I value more is my family and talk whit my parents, maybe is because the major of mexican have so much love to own parents.

I thing that the lack of education and global warming (that are caused by companies and a inefficient government) are the most danger problems actually and maybe we can fight it whit awareness so the things that cant make change to better future are in counterweight to the bad.

When I wake up early, take a breakfast and make exercise at morning, I feel whit more energy and most happy to do all my tasks, and when I listen music when I do my tasks, it´s easily to concentrate or make faster all so this thing are good things to have a funny day but the things that really make different is when I can see my friends and family.

In my birthday, my friends and family organized a surprise party to celebrate me, and when I arrived all the people in the party shouted "surprise".

Something I´m afraid of, it´s to talk in public. I thing am afraid of it because I´m afraid to look ridiculous and maybe I´m afraid because when I was on basic school I was not so good to read and when I was read out loud at the school lounge, my partners scoff about it.

The name of the song is "bold as love" by Jimmy Hendrix, but this is a cover that like me more than the original. Is from John Mayer. 

The things why this song like me are: I like the way John Mayer play the guitar and specially in this song, I think that the form in that he accelerate the compasses, help him to manipulate your senses, and is most easy to make you feel emotions and be excited. I like the things that the song talk about too... its talking about the psychology of the color, and how the writer (of the song) feel the colors express feelings and how there are bold... bold as love (thats why is the name of the song), but its not only that, the song have so much things to talking about on the musical part, this have so good arrangements and change the traditional form of the rhythm.

The name of the song is "Pa´ Mayte" by Carlos Vives.

The things why this song like me are: I like the things that the song talk about, and I´m so fanatic about the latin rhythm and in this song can listen a traditional rhythm of Colombia, the "Colombian music" that is a combination of native sounds of there country (percussions) and other sounds that the slaves (African Americans) of the Spanish bring in the conquest (percussions too) then the accordion and the guitar add to the music instruments that the Colombian native music use. This funny song (colombian music in general) it´s a complicated music to play because of there accelerate rhythm and it´s one of the most bigger representative music of the Latin American culture. I feel so identify whit this music because it so happy like me and like all the Latin American culture

Monterrey is beauty city with a lot of beauty places to visit, places like "valle oriente", "San Agustin" or "galerias monterrey" that are shopping centers where you can go to have a nice afternoon with friends or family, in this places you can go shopping, look for a movie theater or have a dinner. Monterrey have a cultural attractions too, like "museo marco" or our traditional "calle del arte" that is a street in where local artist expose is own art all the sunday, this street is on the most old part of the city so is a beauty places where you can see houses and buildings constructed in a vernacular form and whit a very nice ornament. Monterrey is a city with a lot of opportunities employment in fact is one of the most opportunities cities on México, so in here you you will never lack work and own city is the most happiness in Mexico and one of the most happiness in the word according to an article published by National Geographic. Also here you can move with facility over all the city thanks to a very effective public transport, you can move easy in a meter or trucks.

HW. 1.2 Write why you live where you live. has your family lived there for a long time? what do you like and dislike about living there? why?

In Monterrey there are so many employment opportunities and facilities to travel to a news countries (for work), there are so many opportunities to realize your academic studies in a lot of universities that have differents learning systems, so you can choose what you like more. Here, in Monterrey, are beauty tourist places like "chipinque", "la estanzuela" or "cerro de la silla" where you can go and have time whit the nature, also we are famous for our god food whit our "carne asada" and "cabrito" and the "regios" are a friendly people.

I live here because all my family live here too and my work and my father works are here too, also I think all I want in this moment I can found here, so I feel comfortable in this city at the moment. Maybe the only think I can complain about it´s that Monterrey have a terrible traffic and the people are so neurotic at driving moment.

My name is Tomás Alfonso Mendoza Arreola but all my friends call my "toped" since I was on basic school. I was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México on march of 1994, so actually am 21 year old. On this moment of my life I study architecture in the ITESM university also I work on a builder company who name is "IOPSA: IDEA, OBRAS Y PROYECTOS SA de C.V.". About my hobbies activities... I like to play sport especially soccer, basket and volley, also I like sing, dance, paint, listen music, read (books about human thought, personal growth or about my religion) travel, and see my friends.
